Brush with fame

As promised, here's the scoop (albeit a few days later than Heather intimated). As I write this Logan is in his crib talking to himself extremely loudly and making a bit of a racket.

On Tuesday I had off work but Heather had a voice audition and some errands to run before heading to the office at 3, so Logan and I played chauffeurs and drove her around. We decided to lunch at Flat Top Grill next to Harpo Studios and Heather's agent's office. FTG is kind of a design-your-own Asian cuisine place where you pick your ingredients from a buffet, and they grill it all together and deliver it to your table. On my second go-around to the buffet, I spotted David Draiman, the lead singer for the famous metal band Disturbed, at one of the other tables. It was a safe assumption since they are based out of Chicago and he was surrounded by a bunch of similar-looking metal dudes. Heather and I were taking turns watching Logan so when I got back to the table I told her in a look-but-don’t-look kind of way who was at the next table over. Not being much of a metal fan, she had to just take my word for it. A short while later, Heather noticed that Draiman and his buddy actually kept looking in OUR direction, pointing and whispering to each other. She suggested that I go up to their table and offer them Logan’s autograph, since they seemed so enthralled, perhaps they’d be willing to make a trade. I'm not a big enough fan of Disturbed to interrupt their lunch, but apparently Logan must have the It factor if even famous people are entranced by him...

Happy Valentine's Day!

What a special Valentine's Day! Our hearts have never been so full of love! Logan gave Mommy a DVD of Winnie the Pooh A Valentine for You. So we celebrated the holiday with thai take-out, some Pooh, and some Valentine cake from A Taste of Heaven.
